For Mother’s day, I wanted to make my wife a little planter box for in the kitchen. Something to hold a couple of small succulents.
Like most of my projects, I like to follow an organic process and discover my dimensions as I work.
I had a very long and thin piece of scrap wood that I was saving for some reason and thought this was the perfect opportunity to glue it up and use it for the sides.
I also had some larger thin scraps that I resawed ( previously ) off some chair backs. I definitely could have made this project a lot simple on myself, the glue-up was less than smooth but it worked in the end 😁
